Champagne Taittinger has announced that two years after the first plantings at Domaine Evremond’s vineyard site in Kent, a further 8.5 hectares of vines were planted last month.

Research from the University of East Anglia has identified the prime areas of the UK for producing quality wine.

According to WineGB, wine producers across the UK are hailing 2018 ‘the harvest of the century’ following a record-breaking summer due to unusually hot climates.

Seven Kentish wineries, Biddenden Vineyards, Chapel Down, Domaine Evremond, Gusbourne, Hush Heath Estate, Simpsons Wine Estate and Squerryes, have joined forces to form The Wine Garden of England.

Camel Valley, the Cornish wine producer, has been awarded a royal warrant, by Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales. The warrant has been granted for its English sparkling wines.
